If we glance at the history of wedding anniversaries, we will find that our ancestors developed the idea of anniversaries to break the monotony of day-to – day life. But with the passage of time, this concept has blossomed into a full-fledged tradition of rekindling the feeling of love and unity. Every anniversary serves to strengthen the marriage vows of sincere devotion and love.

Take some time out from your busy schedule and make this wreath for the one with whom you have climbed the hills and valleys of life.

Materials you will need:

  • Twig wreath base
  • Seaside grasses
  • Fresh poppies
  • Light green paper hydrangeas
  • Seashells
  • Paint
  • Brush
  • Construction paper
  • Florist wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors

Instructions:

1.clean the grasses of sand, mud or any dirt. Trim them into roughly the same size. Make several bunches by tying with florist wire and re-tying with bear grass.

  1. Place a bunch on the wreath base and secure it with florist wire. Arrange the other bunch in similar manner.
  2. Paint the seashells in shades of light blue and orange.
  3. Using hot glue attach the painted seashells to the bunches of grasses.
  4. Tie the poppies in small bunch and attach them to the wreath. You may separate each poppy stalk and insert them in the grass bunches.
  5. Make a colorful paper boat and attach it to the cradle of the wreath.
